Kick off meeting ERRAC Member States & Academia Permanent Advisory Groups
New expertise to the service of the development of European rail research & innovation
On July the 16th 2014, ERRAC organised the kick off meeting of its Member States and Academic Permanent Advisory Groups in Brussels.
At the occasion of this kick off meeting, the two groups, which will act separately in the future, were exceptionally merged.
Under the presidency of Mr. Pereira, ERRAC Vice Chair, the meeting was the opportunity for ERRAC to present the status of some of its main ERRAC activities among which the advisory role of ERRAC to the preparation of the Horizon 2020 calls, the on-going FOSTER RAIL project with especially the development of the technology roadmaps but also the future developments of the SHIFT²RAIL Joint Undertaking.
This meeting was also the first occasion for the members of these groups to exchange about the future of rail research and innovation and their role at a crucial moment for the European rail sector.
